WIN Gives Back

As a part of the Women's Impact Network, it was important to do what we do best - Give Back. The makeup of WIN are those who continually step up in their communities and be a part of true impact. It only made sense that would evolve into a large part of this group's underlining mission. Each year, they choose a local member charity to champion. Every event held throughout the year gives that charity a platform to showcase their impact and mission. Since beginning this division in 2020, during a pandemic, they have been able to contribute $2,000 to this component.

2020

The first charity that WIN chose was the Women's Resource Center (WRC). The WRC works to reduce domestic/sexual violence and stalking in our community by providing education, prevention and emergency services.

2021

Because of a pandemic, WIN elected to contribute to the Women's Resource Center again in 2021. This allowed the WRC to showcase their mission which was limited in 2020.

WIN was excited to choose this year's recipient, Bridges of Norman/Moore Public School Foundation (MPSF). Most of the members of WIN are mothers, grandmothers, etc. of young people, so education is a priority to them. The Bridges Program assists and empowers high school students in family crisis to continue to pursue their education without obstacles. MPSF saw a need to address this within the school district and has partnered with Bridges to begin the implementation. We are excited about being a small part of a big impact.
